Ephedrine is a natural substance derived from the plant genus Ephedra.  It is an alkaloid which has stimulant properties as well as being an effective appetite suppressant, fat burner, concentration enhancer, decongestant and thermognic.

Ephedrine works on the adrenergic and noradrenaline receptors in the human body.  It has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine.  In TCM, ephedrine is know as Ma Huang and has been used to treat lung infections, bronchial inflammation and other upper respiratory tract ailments.
